Participants could:

- Take part in family-friendly activities
Throughout the route, participants were showered with vibrant colour powder at sponsored checkpoints hosted by local businesses.

Our colour powder products helped create the vibrant colour clouds that made the event visually unforgettable.
Sponsors & Community Support
One reason this colour run case study stands out is the incredible support provided by local businesses and sponsors.
Sponsors for the 2024 event included:
- Charlesworth Family Group
- Shepley Spring
- FMG
- Advanced Supply Chain
- Purple Pebble People
- Mercedes
- Aflex Hose
Because of this strong community support, the event was able to grow significantly while creating even more awareness for the hospice.

Event Day Atmosphere
On the day of the event, Greenhead Park was filled with excitement, colour and energy from the moment participants arrived.
More than 1,000 people attended the colour run, many wearing white T-shirts ready to be transformed into bright clouds of colour throughout the course.
In addition to the run itself, the event also featured:
- Food stalls
- Live music
- Face painting
- Family games
- Entertainment for children
Because the event focused on fun rather than competition, participants of all fitness levels felt comfortable taking part.
Families, friends and supporters came together to celebrate while raising money for an incredibly meaningful cause.
Fundraising Success
One of the most impressive parts of this colour run case study was the incredible fundraising total achieved by the event.
In 2024 alone, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice raised over £46,000 through:
- Participant registrations
- Sponsorships
- Donations
- Fundraising pages
- Corporate support
These funds now directly support the hospice’s essential care services for children and families across the region.
Furthermore, the event helped strengthen community awareness around the hospice while encouraging new supporters and long-term partnerships.
According to JustGiving, experiential fundraising events like colour runs often achieve stronger engagement because they combine entertainment with emotional connection and community involvement.
